Here are several aerial views of Lorraine Park Cemetery in Woodlawn, Maryland, captured from Microsoft’s Bing search engine in 2014, and probably taken between 2010 and 2014. I’ve annotated them to be used as aids in locating graves.
This is where my paternal grandfather and grandmother (Fleagles) are buried along with several of their kin. Several of the Linkers are here as well. My father’s sister Miriam Fleagle married Lewis Frederick Linker (Uncle Freddie). The view above is looking south. The road at the top of the image is Dogwood Lane bordering the southern edge of the cemetery. Windsor Mill Road angles across the bottom left of the image.
The following image, looking east, shows the southeast side of Lorraine Park Cemetery, where the Fleagle brothers Benjamin Edward and James Ezra, and their wives Frances (Guthrie) and Jennie Viola (Coffin) are buried. There is also a small stone set close but perpendicular to Benjamin and Frances’ stone for the remembrance of their son, also named Benjamin Edward, who lived only nine days.
Across the cemetery near a loop in the drive are the graves of several Linkers. Lewis Frederick Linker was my Uncle Freddie, who married my aunt Miriam. Their daughter Rebecca, who died in a car accident in 1968, is commemorated with a stone behind theirs. Miriam’s name is on the same stone as Freddie’s, but as of this write she is both quick and sharp. – mdf
